Message: My difficult time was during my pregnancy which was a difficult one. I was unable to retain any food. My condition did not look good and I feared my child would be born malnourished. My family members prayed along with me all through this difficult time and through God's grace, although I delivered early and my child was tiny at birth, weighing less than normal, he is today a healthy child. My most trusted prayer to God is for His Holy Will to be done in my life. Mine is a heartfelt trust in God knowing that He always works for the good of those who trust in Him.

Message: I and my children prayed 9rosaries, night time prayers) and I sent a letter to Mother Angelica to ask prayers for my husband to stop smoking. He did. Two years later, I was looking at the calendar on which I put his stop date and noticed that he stopped on the Feast of the Assumption!! I knew that strength came miraculously as he had tried to quit two other times (once for several months) and he always thought he needed a patch or something--which he never did. Yes, he did need something-- the miraculous prayers of Mother and her sisters!! It's been almost 7 years and I am so, so grateful!!!

Message: Bill & Blanche ages 19 & 17 were married by a priest in the rectory of a Catholic church, Blanche's family were Catholic, Blanche had received all the sacraments. After the marriage, she didn't practice the faith. The biggest reason was that Blanche didn't know her catholic faith and Bill had absolutely no religion or teachings.
Blanche found EWTN, Thanks be to God for EWTN!! and started learning about her faith, took RCIA after 35+ years of marriage. In the 1990s she became a daily communicant. Blanche's prayer was that Bill would become Catholic for the celebration of their 50th years of marriage. The miracle was that Bill at the age of 68 yrs. old took the full RCIA course and received his Baptism, 1st communion and Confirmation on Easter Vigil Mar. 26th 2005.

Message: About thirty years ago in the early days of our marriage my wife was complaining about the many things we as a young married couple did not have. After delivering her complaint she abruptly walked out of the room.
I quickly prayed to Mary to ask her to intercede for me with Jesus to improve my wifes attitude. I said Please help her realize the many things we do have, not just the things we dont have. I then said a quick Memorae.
As I was saying the final words, hear and answer me. Amen. my wife re-entered the room. She had been gone no more than a minute. To my joy she immediately spoke enthusiastically about the many wonderful things we had, beginning with each other and including our faith, our families, etc.
I have reflected often about this answered prayer and realized two things. First, my wife was in a state of grace and was therefore very receptive to the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Second, although my motivation was primarily to have a contented wife, my request that she realize the good things we have was clearly good for her spiritually.
She has never again lamented the things we do not have. This has been very helpful to our marriage through the years, especially when serious challenges came along. She still speaks with gratitude about the many things we do have.

Message: I was in a state of turmoil regarding what I should do with my life, specifically in terms of employment. I didn't need to work financially but my husband was unhappy that I had quit my job which placed tension in our relationship. One morning while sitting alone in my kitchen I literally cried out to God asking Him what I should do with my life. Six months later at a meeting, the speaker or, I believe the Holy Spirit, made this statement, "If your spiritual life is not in order nothing else in your life will make sense". From that statement I experienced a major conversion to my Catholic faith and God has led me into Youth Ministry which has been the most fulfilling job (even though I do it strictly voluntarily) I have ever held.

Message: My secret to answered prayer is have a child-like faith in God believing that as you make your prayer, the Almighty is working on your case to answer your prayer. As we know...Prayer opens the door for God to begin working in our lives. Another of my favourite prayers is the Ignatian prayer of surrender to God not holding anything back.
A couple of years ago, My working son was diagnosed with viral pneumonia. In addition he had developed water in the lung. He was running a high temperature, was in tremendous pain and could not breathe. I immediately had recourse to prayer, begging of Our Lord Jesus and Our Blessed Mother to heal my son. Three months went by with my son having to go through various tests, x-rays, scans besides the strong medication to stabilise his condition. He was unable to sleep at night. Our Merciful Lord finally answered my prayer and my son slowly recovered. I give God the glory, praise and thanksgiving for restoring my son's health. I would also like to add that God came to our rescue and helped us out with our financial difficulties with sustained prayer.

Message: My 33 y.o. daughter mother of five had breast cancer and had to have a double mastectomy. I was very afraid and did not want to lose her so at daily Mass I would pray for her not to have cancer.
One day while doing the same it came to me I was praying crazily and asked myself what was the most important thing to me when I realized it was her life. In earnest I began to pray to Our Lady asking her to intercede with her son in sparing my daughter's life. I further explained to Our Lady that if her life was spared we would not let our suffering go to waste but would instead offer all suffering to come up for the Holy souls in purgatory or for anyone that needed prayers. Then I asked Our Lady for a sign a simple one, it could be a flower. If in the future someone gave me a flower I would then know my prayers would be answered.
The days and then weeks were passing by then one day while going to enter the church a friend that I had helped while her son was ill called me to talk. At the same time the priest that was my guardian angel came forward with some cancer literature for me to give my daughter to read. I teased the priest about being late for Mass as the presider was there, he laughed and we entered the church.
When I approached my usual pew someone called me by name and asked me to give this to Irene my daughter, I thanked her on behalf of Irene. Just then another lady called me and asked me to give her gift to Irene as well and again I thanked her. Then the first lady called me and said Barbara these are for you when I turned my head around there she stood with a group of flowers for me. I started to cry and of course everyone comes running as they think the worst. However, I thanked her for giving me my sign and from that day I have never doubted that the Blessed Mother went to her son for help regarding my daughter. Every day at Mass I give thanks to both. Thank you Jesus and Blessed mother, Barbara
